Uzbek: Present Continous / Usbekisch: Moment-Gegenwart

Having already looked at the present-future form, we are now learning the moment-present. This tense is used for activities that are being done right now. It is comparable to the English present continuous.

The Uzbek present continous is made as follows. Take the verb stem, add YAP and add the personal ending. bormoq - go bormoq + yap + personal ending

The negation The negation is formed with the particle -ma. This comes between the stem and -yap.

bormoq + ma + yap + personal ending

Some example sentences:

Men boryapman. - I'm going.

Sen nima qilyapsan? - What are you doing?

U o'qimayapdi. - He / she is not reading.

Biz hozir kelyapmiz. - We are coming (right now). ("Hozir" reinforces the statement.)

Siz ishlayapsiz (lar)? - Are you (polite form) working? (If you write "sizlar", then the question is addressed to several people.)

Ular pishiryapdilar. - You are cooking.

Nachdem wir bereits die Gegenwart- Zukunft-Form angeschaut haben, lernen wir jetzt die Moment-Gegenwart. Diese Zeitform wird für Tätigkeiten angewendet, die man gerade/in diesem Moment macht. Sie ist vergleichbar mit dem englischen „present continuous“.

Die Momentgegenwart wird folgendermassen gebildet. Man nimmt den Verbstamm, ergänzt diesen mit YAP und fügt am Ende die Personalendung hinzu.

Die Negation

Die Verneinung wird mit dem Partikel –ma gebildet. Dieser kommt zwischen Stamm und -yap.

Einige Beispielsätze:

Men boryapman. - Ich gehe jetzt/in diesem Moment.

Sen nima qilyapsan? - Was machst du gerade?

U o'qimayapdi. - Er/Sie liest gerade nicht.

Biz hozir kelyapmiz. - Wir kommen gerade jetzt. (Mit "hozir" wird die Aussage verstärkt.)

Siz ishlayapsiz(lar)? - Arbeiten Sie gerade? (Wenn man "sizlar" schreibt, heisst die Frage "Arbeitet ihr gerade?")

Ular pishiryapdilar. - Sie kochen gerade.
